Hi all,

On 18th September at 10.00 hrs we slipped our lines from a buoy and motored out of Cannigione after saying goodbye to our dear friends Lorenzo and Mabi, who were the inspiration for us to visit Sardinia and the Costa Smeralda.
We also said goodbye to new friends in Cannigione and Maddalena, people who have shown us a warm Sardinian welcome to their island.

So Tioram left the Golfo di Arzachena with 14 kts true wind with two reefs in the main and a part furled genoa to pass out into 18 knots sailing north past Punta Sardegna.
We continued north past the Maddalena archipelago and out into the Bonifacio straits passing all of the places which Tioram has visited on her travels.
In an unusual strong easterly wind we ran downwind heading east across the north coast of Sardinia, finally into Santa Teresa Gallura for the night.
On 19 th September we slipped our lines at 07.50 hrs to leave Santa Teresa on a humid misty morning to sail the 47 nm to Stintino on the north east tip of Sardinia.
We sailed most of the way finally motoring into the marina harbour at Stintino for the night ....wind and rain overnight.....the first for many weeks.

Tomorrow we leave Sardinia and Tioram heads west again.......

Love to all
