Hi all,

Our dear friends Lorenzo and Mabi kindly asked us to there home here for a lovely evening and great Sardinian food.
En route we visited Porto Cervo, home to Lorenzo and Mabi and the resort they have seen grow from its origins in the 1960s.

We walked along the marina waterfront and pontoon to see the J class's of the world, 'Velsheda', ' Shamrock 'and Rainbow'.  Other super racing yachts lined the quay.
We have seen Velsheda in the Solent, St Lucia, Barbuda in the Caribbean, St Barts, Antigua Classic race week and now in Sardinia. She is a stunning yacht, normally dwarfing yachts around her, but in the Rolex cup she looks like a pretty dinghy alongside the maxi super yachts of today.
The atmosphere on the dock after racing is always great fun with crews tidying cockpits, sails, checking rigging,  discussing tactics, licking their wounds or celebrating success....partying till midnight etc etc. in the Uk at Cowes you can see all of this from the shore but rarely get onto the pontoons. In Antigua we had a fab time walking the pontoons chatting to crew. In Porto Cervo it's the same with visitors next to sailors.

And so...., we got some great photos.....no more to be said other than enjoy them.......

Love to all
