Hi all,

On the 4th August we lifted our anchor from the bay of Pinarellu, Corsica in 7/9 knots true wind to head south again. Interestingly the wind speed increased significantly and the sea state as we passed south to Lles Cerbicales which seems to protect the coast further north above it from the wind whistling through the Bonifacio straits .....curving up south easterly around the south east tip of Corsica.
In the increasing wind we took shelter again in Santa Amanza by the cliff face.
A supermotoryacht came in to take shelter too. The motor yacht is called 'Venus ' which was designed by Phillipe Stark and built for Steve Jobs of Apple. Sadly he died before the magnificent motor yacht was launched. It made a sad and beautiful sight in the bay.

After Santa Amanza we headed south again through the Piantarella passage following transit/ markers on the hillside to squeeze through the shallows and rocks before heading out into the straits of Bonifacio.
We sailed and motor sailed south west until we anchored back in Sardinia in Capo Testa bay.

Love to all
