A change of plans.

We decided to leave sailing to Europe this year as everything was getting stressed. Crew, recent sailing experience, properly giving the boat sea trails, and what seems to be a continuous stream of failures.

We decide NEVER to lay the boat up on the ‘hard’ ever again and never to leave the boat for such a long time.

It’s true what ‘they’ say. Boats like to be used and leave them alone at your peril.

Besides, this is a very nice part of the East Coast and well worth a closer inspection.

We decide to fit Solar Power. Really give the boat systems a thorough testing and then sail down to the Caribbean  at the end of November. We’ll spend the winter months sailing around the BVI’s and St Martin et al.

…but Gosh! The sun is so hot here!
