The Berber Market and Berber Home

The last was organized to visit a local ‘Berber’ followed by a visit to a typical peasant ‘Berber’ home.

Then if there was time to a local scenic beauty spot.

The market had barbers in small hovels with large blades giving wet shaves to the locals.

They had an ‘actual’ tooth puller!

Live chickens and turkeys.

Pleased we had guide because as expected, were hustled all the time.

The mountain drive was pleasant and we stopped at a Berber home in a tiny village for  mint tea – just like traditional England then.

Live sewage around houses. Cattle live in the bottom of the house.
Yes! - It smelt!

Really young children taught how to beg for money from tourists.

Morocco is certainly a different country to that we are used to.

It is VERY different to Tunisia.  Although poor you felt that the people had more self-respect and more interest in the role they played in helping build their society.

We are pleased to have experienced Morocco.

We are glad to be going back to Spain
