The sail to Knidos was a good for the first 20 miles but then unfortunately we had to motor sail. As we brought the sail in we noticed that the hook had come out of the tack (the bottom of the main sail next to the mast). I guess our friends back in Turgutreis didn’t put the mainsail back correctly.
Ah well, another job to do!

Knidos is a small bay and a great anchorage site. It is the site of an ancient town. We could see the ruins easily from the boat. We all popped into shore by dingy and had lunch at the local tavern.  That evening, with the wind at near zero John opened up the main sail, dropped it 6 inches and put the hook back on. Phew! A good job John watches the professional trades when they come and do jobs on the boat!

The next day we left early in the morning for our 20 mile sail to Datca.
