Ticketeeboo

Flying only a tiny bit of genoa and very deep 3rd reef in main whilst whistling along with a strong F6 and a big rolly sea with breaking waves just aft of the beam. Reduced the genoa couple of times until minimum needed to achieve 6kn and getting +7kn most of the time. Ticketeeboo handling the seas very well although like other heavy seas so far this month, needing to take great care when needing to move around! (Nothing new here then.) We have what the gribs promised and knew we would get an energetic run-in towards Menorca. Still aiming to check out S'Algar with Cala Taulera (Mahon) in reserve. A group of four other alternative anchorages, between 17 & 20NM on the SE coast should needs must? (Which I hope not because that puts another 4h or so on the passage interfering with my expected sleep needs.) Wherever we drop the hook, we hope to stay put until after the nasty-looking strong winds have blown through with N'ly aspects. Not wanting to push Ticketeeboo harder, for want of the safest and most comfortable ride, it will be dark when we come to pick our way in for the night.
Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, oh I do like to be beside the sea...........
xxxx to our 4 x Grandchildren (Seth's new name for me being Grandad Captain)
