Title: Nisos Kalamos 38:36N 20:53E

Yesterday we visited Kastos to rendezvous with friends on s/y Condor. When we arrived we set-about going on hook with long-line ashore. When some other's saw us they must have thought "That's a good idea" and proceeded to do same. Shortly after Condor arrived so we helped with their long-line and rafted-up. During the next couple of hours there must have been another 30 yachts arrive and we ended -up with a Neilson flotilla rafted-up close to our port-side and a gaggle of other yachts to Condors stbd-side. Fortunately the weather remained very settled and it turned-out a very peaceful over-night. I went ashore with a decent size lump of Ticketeeboo frozen tuna to arrange for a local taverna to cook for us. It was a lovely evening too. 6 persons, 2kg wine and plenty delicious starters + tuna main course costing just ?37. Great value for good scoffs. Naturally, after such good food we needed some liquid refreshment from local bar, followed by more liquid refreshment once back aboard he
re.
By 10 o'clock this morning the flotilla and charter yachts were starting to depart the harbour and conditions remained settled. Until Condor made ready to get underway, then the big black clouds came, then the wind and rain. As soon as Condor slipped to safe distance we needed too as well because dirt on our lee-side started looking bit close & nasty. We simply let-go our long-line, picked-up hook then dropped it again once outside the harbour breakwater so that I could venture back inside harbour and recover our long-line whilst 30kn winds prevailed.
>From Kastos we enjoyed a little sail here. Very pleasant with just enough gibsl & mainsl to make 5kn. Nothing fancy because we had less than 10NM to do! We'll be here tonight and will decide if we want 2nd night, depending on conditions tomorrow. There could be some strong W-NW winds coming through and this spot lets us swing freely with plenty protection.
