Atlantico Marina, Leixoes, Nr Oporto, Portugal

Good news, the engineer fitted two seals this morning and there were no leaks after an hour of running the engine, we are so relieved.

Quote of the week thanks to niece/cousin Anna, it has been tweaked by Harry and Isabelle:
"We have bought lots of diesel so we can now go sailing"

Harry and Isabelle spotted and rescued a dying seagull in the marina, they then spent the day trying to save it, it is still lying on the pontoon we don't give it much hope. The water here is really distressing, dead rats, dead fish, live fish eating the dead fish, thank goodness none of us has fallen in (yet).

Bol had a go at the varnish today with Isabelle's help. Sadly not much can be done about the dirty waterline as none of us is going in to scrub her here!

There is a buzz in the marina, some boats left today, and the rest of us leave tomorrow. The northerly wind is due to start tomorrow and should last a few days. The ear patch is on and Bol has taken his grumpy pills.... wish us luck.

The only fly in the ointment is the package from the UK with the children's new kindles isn't here yet. They were due to arrive on Friday and were tracked in "Marina Atlantico, Lisbon" today! Let's hope they arrive tomorrow morning early enough not to hold us up.
