We are pleased to be in the Marina with rigging wires and halyards shrieking around us, it wasn't 50 knots but it is windy with a constant pounding roar of the breakers as they hit the huge sea wall, spray is visible over the top. 30+ surfers were on the beach this afternoon. Our Polish neighbour is a solo around the world sailor who is leaving for Madeira later this evening, he is starting his trip officially from the Canaries in November on his thoroughly logo'd up 21ft Mini-transat boat, the trip should last 2 years. Good luck!

August, the chap from the Marina here showed Harry how to use a mussel to fish for Dover Sole, great sight at one stage seeing him, all 6ft6"
of him, fishing with Harry's rod. He caught 2 Mullet but the Sole remains elusive.

A pleasant walk ashore this afternoon followed by lovely Crepes on board "Faloine" a comfortable 42ft boat with 4 x trans-Atlantic Annie and 8 x trans-Atlantic Olivier from Paris, all these great people we are meeting. We are feeling better about motoring after comparing notes with others!
