Now those slow morning we mentioned yesterday ... they are getting slower! We had a delightful walk ashore in Fowey eating Cornish Pasties, ice creams and donuts and enjoying the general ambience of the ancient town. We came ashore at a slipway where a plaque said "Queen Victoria and Prince Albert landed on this Quay Sept 8th 1846" so tried to picture the scene 150 years ago. 24hrs in this place doesn't begin to do it justice so it is on the list for a longer visit another time.

So onwards and westwards and another cracking 20 mile sail ending in St Mawes, Falmouth Harbour at anchor and watching the far hills disappear in the first rain we have seen in weeks. This is the most west we intend to go in the UK so plan to have a few nights here including a haul out to give TC a scrub before the end of the week to enable us to head south with a clean shiny slippery hull. Poor TC, she's laden down and has a weedy hull so has done incredibly well to sail as well as she has.
