Anchored in Bayona

Boat admin again today, the children completed the Canaries flag and Madeira flag. As we bought the Portuguese flag at the Beaulieu Boat Jumble in April our first home-made one will be Isabelle's Madeira one.

We also dropped the genoa and hoisted the twin headsails called the 'twistler rig'. Recommended by Ratseys sail makers and found at the Beaulieu Boat Jumble, along with its twin 12ft poles, it is as yet untried due to lack of time, so we thought we'd give it a go between Bayona and Porto as northerlies are forecast so we are hoping for a nice 60 mile downwind sail to try them out.

We have just enjoyed Harry's fish he caught last night, he is very pleased with his new reel. They tried again tonight but the four they caught all got away!

This may be our last night in Spain as we plan to leave tomorrow and head for Porto, but we'll see what the wind brings in the morning. Therefore they may not be a blog tomorrow, Saturday.
