Yarmouth, Isle of Wight ...estimated time of arrival 4am... actual time of arrival 4.05am :-)

An epic! But we are here, safely tied up by the lifeboat in Yarmouth Harbour and we can't tell you how nice that feels after rather a bruising Channel crossing with swell, sickness, thunder and lightening, sudden squalls, rain, constant 20-30 knots of breeze, no engine, no GPS for a few hours and a bonkers wind speed indicator that said at one stage we had 90 knots of breeze.

But such calmness once in the Solent, no swell and miraculously the sickness disappeared. We tacked our way to the entrance of the harbour, sailed part of the way in and then a short burst of engine to come alongside. Really amazing to be here, about to go to bed for a few hours and hope that Harry and Isabelle can keep the lid on their excitement for a little while longer, fortunately David Attenborough's Blue Planet DVDs to the rescue.

We would love to see anyone who is passing but probably not until midday onwards! And thanks to Yarmouth Harbour Master we are alongside until Monday morning so very much looking forward to seeing people over the weekend.

Our final blog tomorrow with thoughts, highlights and reflections on our very special time away, we can't believe it is over :-(
