Muros

After a wild, windy & wet night & morning in Bayona, when the time came to leave, the wind died altogether leaving a 4m swell, no visibility and rain ~ mmmmmm nice ~ it was good not to have the children on board as TC was extremely roly and damp!

However, it turned into a very straight forward day, motoring all the way and keeping an easy watch system of 2hrs on / 1hr off which was very civilised on the 8hr journey. We had dolphins around us for a while which was lovely, and spotted many sunfish again, but with visibility to half a mile, we didn't see much shipping.

I appreciated having three navigation systems all agreeing with our position today (Open CPN, GPS and Navionics) as there were plenty of rocks and islands to avoid and none were visible by eye.

We shortened the journey and have come into Muros (where we spent a happy ten days back in September). We received a very friendly welcome into the Marina and now lie to an eerie calm as we wait for the gale to arrive, due at midnight.

However, I am very sorry to learn that we missed Helen and Leo from 'Sila a Do' who were in Bayona as well last night :-(

A day off tomorrow to let the gale blow over, a chance to do some baking as there is a birthday on board on Sunday......
