Anchored at the entrance to Portimao

Have you ever spent a night in a roly anchorage? If so, then you know how we are feeling right now!

We couldn't get supper over with quickly enough for fear of it spilling into our laps. We had a quiet morning in the Marina and then came out to what we thought was a calm spot near the entrance to Portimao... realising quite soon that it wasn't quite so calm!

Never mind, we had a lovely two hours on quite an interesting beach nearby with boulders, tunnels and caves, as we have one more full day here tomorrow we will no doubt return for more scrambling about and exploring.

The children followed some pigeons into a small narrow cave entrance which soon opened out into a much larger cave with nesting pigeons on perches all around. Isabelle had spotted the caves from the boat so made sure she had packed her torch :-)
