Rota

The long admin list has finally been finished and we are all set to leave around 7.30am.

The weather has definitely changed and today was gloriously warm indicating a change in the wind direction from NW to Easterly. Tomorrow looks blustery but we will aim for Mazagon, breaking the 60 mile journey to the River Guadiana. There is a swell forecast and the entrance to the River Guadiana could well be quite unpleasant with a swell running, so we thought we'd have two nights in Mazagon and head there on Saturday when things should be calmer.

In town today Harry spotted this fine statue dedicated to "La Villa de Rota Al Marinero"; a man holding an impressive catch of fish. We have enjoyed Rota, it has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and we can see why folks spend their winters here on yachts in the Marina, the days slip by effortlessly!
