Alcoutim

This trip is all about "hellos" and "goodbyes" and today it was goodbye to our friends on Martha Primrose. Thank goodness for texts as we can keep in touch and hopefully see them again in the Spring. The boat is heading towards the Med and should be in Tanger for New Year.

By last night the cat bite on Isabelle's hand had gone red and puffy so many thanks again to our doctor friend Thomas back on the Isle of Wight who gave us excellent advice. It is now on the mend and is huge reassurance to have access 24/7 to such expertise.... THANK YOU THOMAS!

There are New Year preparations here in town, posters everywhere announcing a party for all citizens and an enormous marquee has been put up on the sea front. We might go and see what the Spaniards are planning too!

We're just finishing off the Mince Pie mix but I have disgraced myself by throwing away the last of the cream thinking it was something else. 24 tins of double cream now consumed since leaving UK!

Here is the scene outside the library earlier today using the free wifi ~ checking emails, doing online banking, researching fishing lures, researching terrapins ~ no guesses who is doing what.

xx
