Alcoutim

A beautiful bright sunny day finally and we needed to restock, so headed to Portugal to buy vegetables and Spain to buy olives!

I also experienced another 'first'. As we sadly are not visiting the school in the Caribbean we are needing to post some gifts from Shalfleet & Yarmouth school children to the Beacon School in St George's, Grenada. Unfortunately the post master was totally flummoxed about sending something to Grenada, and after six phone calls requesting assistance, he was most embarrassed to make me leave the building with my parcel still under my arm.... I will have to enlist the help of some ex-pats.

If Plan A was the Atlantic Circuit, and Plan B was to turn left at Cape St Vincent and head into the Med, we are now currently working on Plan C:

For various reasons the Med route isn't going to happen and Thursday's Child is going to continue cruising this Algarve coast until July, then re-trace her steps back up the Atlantic Coast. It is however going to have different crew! Bol and the children will fly from Lagos and new hands will fly down to sail with me back to England. This idea was floated during "TC's battle off Cape St Vincent" and the more we chew on both Plan B and C, the more Plan C suits the four of us.

Who the 'new hands' will be is currently being worked upon, but we'll keep you posted.
