Sines Marina

A loud night with noisy wind in the rigging and TC surging back and forth on her snug finger pontoon, ropes squeaking and creaking under the weight. However, no damage done and a calmer day today. Occasional terrific downpours which meant going ashore had to be timed well, one caught us out and we must have been a comical sight rushing back to the boat all shrieking hysterically.

Harry has finally let me cut his hair again, not a bad job with the longer razor comb this time (thanks to the emergency package being sent from home a while back!)

Some boats in the marina are heading off south tomorrow, but after last night's Force 7 there are 5m swells predicted so we are waiting until Friday when 2m swell and onshore winds are forecast. It will be a big moment ~ a long 80 mile day as we should round Cape St Vincent and reach the Algarve ~ but it will be the start of the new route towards the Med and a whole new adventure.

We are wondering where to spend the winter months, it is definitely chillier here now and we only brought clothes for the Caribbean!
