A fairly quiet day, the cloudy skies seem to have disappeared at least for now and we’ve had a typical trade wind day with 10 – 15 knots from the SE and puffy white clouds in an otherwise clear blue sky. It’s getting warmer by the day but still pleasant in the breeze. There are now 6 of us out here hundreds of miles apart heading for various destinations including Brazil but each morning at 0800 we exchange positions and news on the ssb southern cross radio net 8191khz, it all helps to add to the routine and break up the day. This morning I took a 0900 sun sight followed by a noon sight and the running fix placed us about 1.5 miles from our gps position – an unnecessary task you might say given modern technology but satisfying all the same. No fish yet but all well on board.
