Well, that was a very pleasant 24 hours, lightening winds which gradually crept into the north to give us a pleasant reach across a flat blue ocean - for the moment at least. The wind has been up and down a bit - necessitating short periods of motor sailing in order to keep our speed up so that we get in before the next SW wind turns the Agulus current into a place that no one wants to be - but we have no complaints. The only indications of the previous periods of boisterous conditions are the layer of salt crystals which cover every surface, last nights spagetti bolognaise  -25% of which now resides behind the cooker as the pan went airborn -  the odd squid imprint on deck and of course the art work on the sail. Spirits tentatively high and all well on board.
