We departed Terciera yesterday at 1400 after an amazing 4 day visit which included visiting unique lava tunnels, watching bull running in the street – from a safe position on a raised walkway - and being there when Portugal won the European Cup in soccer. The cuisine was excellent, the people friendly and hospitable and the whole thing was very affordable – a great place off the beaten track to go on holiday. So, it was with mixed feelings that we motored out of the marina and set course for Wales.
The winds are still light and apart from the occasional vain effort we have been motor sailing since we left. The skies are overcast and we had rain and fog during the night but the crew are in good spirits and we live in hope for some useable wind. All well on board.
