We ran away for three nights. Away from the engine problems. We stayed in a hotel, we had a very nice walk in the rain forrest in Sobreania national park. We saw a crockodile (from a safe distance), coyotes (prerieulv in Norwegian(?)), agoutes, cappuccino monkeys, tucans, hummingbirds (three different kinds), black vultures, herons and a tinamou. Hummingbirds are very fun to see. They accellerate faster than the eye can folloow, and they fly both forwards and backwards, and hold the position in the air, almost like a helicopter.
Now we are back in “Tatt av vinden”, since Thursday. Today, Friday, we have washed clothes and repaired the HF antenna. Yes, the fiberglass whip, 7 m long, broke in two pieces the last time we tried to escape from Shelter Bay. I was able to repair it, and I am very proud of that. It is 10 cm shorter, but I do not think that will matter.
Tomorrow we shall clean the fuel system. Then the engine hopefully will be good as new. If the weather forcast is right, the winds will come down on Tuesday, and then we once more shall set the course for San Blas.
