Tatt av vinden

UTFERD

Sjøisen har begynt å legge seg

Stien er frossen under føttene

i går var den sølet og sleip

Snø i lufta

Rim på trærne

Det lave skydekket reflekterer lys fra byen

I kveld begynner vinteren få tak

Jeg liker at vinteren med fast grep

tvinger november i kne

Humøret stiger for hvert skritt på stien

En ny utferdstrang våkner

Havet i Caribbean kaller

Fremmede kyster og folk

En kribling i ryggmargen

På tide å dra

Den nye utferdstrangen trekker

… men det er vel den gamle…

Where we live, we already had the first snow and icy roads. Not much, and it has all gone, two degrees above zero today. But the frozen ground on the paths is better than the mud in November. And lights are lit everywhere for Christmas, just a little more than three weeks away.  So we prefer December over November. But we are far from sorry to leave for the warmer climate and, for a couple of months, a better life.

Monday we shall fly to Curacao. Just a short season. We shall return home in the middle of February. Our plan is to sail to Colombia and Kuna Yala (Islas San Blas) before we haul out the boat and store it on the hard In Colon, Panama.

We are looking forward to come back to “Tatt av vinden”, and hope that it is in good shape. It has been seven months on the hard, in customs storage. We probably shall need at least a week to make it ready for sailing.
