From the 4th - 7th of April we sailed for the first time only the 4 of us during a longer distance, which was over 3 nights in a row,  459 NM. We started of with a massive squall, which is a local (normally quite short) storm with heavy rain and stronger winds, typical for the tropical areas.. However we noticed that the squalls in the Pacific are not that windy as the ones in the Caribbean. So far!

So Jörgen took the opportunity to take a natural shower!

And after rain comes sunshine...

The same evening we experienced a quite interesting cloud “formation”. A huge heavy cloud on our port side coming from behind. With the light from the sun setting it was quite impressive!

During this first leg only the 4 of us the kids got more room and off course permission to just be themselves. We had no other adults to take into consideration and we guess that the kids felt in and just run around the boas as kids should do ;-). They do find a way to run around!

And the circus continued!

Daddy taking the command talking into a “speaker”.

So we had to split the night shift within the two of us. We divided the night into a 3 hours shift from 18.00 at night to 9.00 in the morning. The first night was a bit tiring, but as we got along with the sailing we got into the shift scheme and after 3 nights we were into it. Inez taking a picture of Mummy after having taken the very early morning shift and going off her shift. Daddy stil sleeping in the cockpit.

The morning shifts are often the most rewarding with the sunrise… Beautiful!
