After 4 nights in Prickly Bay on the Southern Coast of Grenada we moved our fleet to Port Louis in George Town. A bit more luxurious with quick (!) wifi, swimmingpool, restaurant, laundry and bakery!

The day after we had moored in the marina I saw a big blue boat with a Swedish flag. After talking to the skipper Christian I realised it was S/Y Merengue! I first sailed with Merengue on the West Coast in Sweden north of Gothenburg with 10 girls in the summer of 2007. The same summer Per Tärnklev who owns the boat was preparing her to sail from Sweden to Bequia. I got the privilege to sail with her on the first leg from Gothenburg to Inverness in Scotland over the North Sea in August 2007. Then two friends Charlotte Brandt and Carina Petersson sailed her from the Canaries to Cap Verde and I joined them on the island of Sal in Cap Verde and sailed over to Mindello, San Vincente, the Capital of Cap Verde. What struck me in the marina there was to see many boats from all nationalities, French, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, English… This was in November 2007 and I guess we then were there at the same time as ARC+? Without knowing… However it was then that I had my dream: one day I would sail around the world, the freedom to discover new places while sailing a boat. 7 years later the dream came true. Imagine then what a nice surprise it was to see Merengue again in the West Indies! My happiness had no limits ;-). Cirkeln var sluten.
