We awoke early to get underway and make the most of the day’s wind; however, it has taken us all morning to clear Backstairs Passage and we are currently motoring in light airs to get clear of the confused seas at its entrance.  The wind is forecast to freshen from the north later today, so hopefully we will be in a good position to be able to fill our sails and make good time to our next port, once more to Robe.

Despite the washing machine seas that old Sylph is wallowing around in just now, it feels good to be sailing again with a definite destination in mind.

All is well.
