I have enjoyed a few days rest waiting in Apollo Bay for a fair breeze, though have not missed the opportunity of getting a bit of maintenance done – the cockpit seats have been well overdue for a coat of varnish – two down, four to go.

A front is due to pass through Bass Strait in a few hours behind which we will get some fresh southwesterly winds. I have gotten under way while it is relatively calm so as to be all settled in sea mode before it arrives.
