We arrived off Robe at about 0200 on Sunday morning. The entrance into the small harbour was not well lit so I anchored just outside for the remainder of the night. In the morning I weighed and motored in through the narrow entrance channel and was delighted that my sister, Jenny, and her husband, Colin, were standing at the entrance to welcome me. I found an empty berth to tie up in and was soon jabbering away down below with Jenny and Colin. After helping me to shift berth two spots over (the marina manager advised me that the spot I had tied up in was actually occupied by a fishing boat) we adjourned to the house that they were renting for the weekend where we continued catching up.

Last night was a nice social evening crowded with relatives (hence the delay in updating my blog).  As well as Jenny and Colin there were their two children, Caitlin and Sam, and their respective partners/friends, and Colin’s cousin, Zoe, and her partner, Craig, visiting from Scotland. Today all have returned to their respective lives and I have spent much of the day completing an essay due at the end of the week. Tomorrow we will continue on our way for the final hop to Adelaide where I expect to arrive on Thursday.

All is well.
