Weather: Overcast, cool
We have at last managed to make our departure from Cordova; our destination,
Prince Rupert, Canada, about 670 miles from here. The weather forecast for
the next few days is for favourable winds, so, as the expiry date on my visa
is rapidly approaching, I have decided to take advantage it. Unfortunately
the wind is expected to back into the east on Wednesday, however westerlies
return on Thursday and Friday. The long range forecast also looks pretty
good, but of course long range forecasts are notoriously unreliable,
especially in this part of the world. I will keep my fingers crossed.
It is with mixed feelings that I leave Cordova. I have been very fortunate
to have made some good friends over the winter, and it is with some sadness
that I say farewell. However, adventures ahead beckon.
