Weather: mostly sunny, mild

The weather over the last few days has been delightful. The sun has been shining, the winds light, and the cherry blossoms have been blooming everywhere. On days such as these, the chores of painting and the like are hardly chores at all.

I continue to work towards leaving Japan for South Korea on Friday, when it looks like a favorable weather pattern will prevail for the hundred mile passage between here and Pusan. Tomorrow's mission is to complete the clearing out formalities, store ship, and also I hope to catch up with the Nomzamo, so that I can pick the skipper's brain and take advantage of all the wonderful planning he has done. Nomzamo's crew is planning on taking much the same route across the North Pacific to Alaska as the rather less organised Sylph mob has sketched out.  It would be crazy not to crib form all the great work Howard has done.

All is well.
