Hi from Gitana,
SOG: 5.5kts?COG:202T
Still no wind to speak off, NW<5kts. dropped the main this morning to stop it flogging.
Wind has come round to NW as forecast and i hope this will build this evening so we can finally set sail.
water maker been running for 5hrs at 40l/hr. seems our fresh water tanks weren't as full as we thought on departure from Falmouth. Pondering why....
Crew all well and enjoyed a cracking dinner from Mike last night. Dad is up this evening and i fear, sorry I hear it is a mexican theme.
Calm seas so far. Unless breeze fills in and we can set sail within next 24hrs then La Coruna is a likley pit stop for fuel.
Seen a huge whale close to the yacht and many dolphins, some small sharks at the surface. I had the pleasure of a Spanish fishing fleet last night to keep me on my toes on watch.
Its warmer now and less "grey".
