Our revered skipper eagerly awaiting the start of the morning radio schedule.  Each day the duty net controller calls up every yacht in our group to check on their position and progress in the preceding 24 hours. This provides an opportunity for the skipper of each boat to announce, with great honesty, facts such as his boat is managing to sail up wind at 5 knots in only 6 knots of breeze – truly impressive or that the engine noise in the background is his generator, he is not motoring. Tim has been tempted to say that our background engine noise is actually one of  our crew snoring – he just sounds like a Volvo.
Once the position report is complete, there follows a chat about the weather and, most important of all – who’s caught what on which lure. It appears, blue is the colour for mahimahi.
