All is well on board, but the winds are just not playing the game. We’ve have a large area of no wind to the west of us that stretches for at least 2 hundred miles down to the Cape Verdes. Hence our track, although longer, at least is giving us some pleasant sailing down the coast of Africa. We are planning to make a direction change more to the west shortly. Hopefully by the time we get past the top of the islands things will have sorted them selves a little. It certainly the strangest trans Atlantic I’ve ever done.

Things are good with everyone, and apart from our spinnaker pole track spitting machine screws at the slightest pressure put on it we are enjoying the crossing. I’ve strapped it up with some ratchet cargo straps that we picked up from a well known Swedish shop while we were buying something else, thinking at the time what a good idea it would be to have some of those on the boat. It was!!
