Greetings from Hiva Oa, we arrived here yesterday and are anchored at Bay Tahuku. There is a quaint village here, Atuona. We will search for an agent to assist in booking in. Joanne, Kirsten and Robert have to post a bond or purchase a return ticket to their country of residence and then redeem the unused ticket at the time of our departure from French Polynesia. The agent is the better option.

The anchorage at the Bay of Virgins was incredibly lush and ancient. What a magnificent entry into these mystical lands. As soon as we get to reliable internet access we will post photos.

The sailing was quite good, we are pleased to have crossed the longest leg of our journey now. The 22 day sail was comfortable, we were lucky with the average sea state and wind.

Thank you Debbi for filling in the GPS status. Not sure why the track is off on the google map, it appears we back tracked but we did not.
