dinghy dock for boaters filling up. There are no alongside berths for fuel here
so I had to dinghy back and fore to Swiftwing with 5 gallon containers of
diesel.

 To prevent outboard theft many new
outboards are fitted with much older engine covers or the shiny new ones are
rubbed down and hand painted. This is one of the nicer ones we have
seen.
 This is the local internet cafe where,
believe it or not, the guy fixed our laptop which had completely refused to
boot.

 Most of George Town looked like
this.
 Dinghy entrance from the anchorage into
Victoria Lake. With one metre of tide, the overfalls outside on a falling tide
combined with a windy day are akin to coming down from Strangford Lough
into the sea.
 Ferrying fuel and water back and forth to
Swiftwing. We have a watermaker on board but it's much easier to top up from the
dinghy dock tap which gives free water to cruisers...(we've already paid for it
with the £200 cruising permit!) There is virtually no rain here so all the
local fresh water is made at desalination plants. The locals buy their
water by the tanker load. When we were in St. Thomas, Arden had just filled up
with one thousand gallons and he said it cost US$300
