All being well we will leave Tahiti today, for Huahine about 90 something miles west of here. It’s an overnight sail of 16 hours so we hope to arrive early on Tuesday. But before we leave this lovely island I wanted to share the last photos with you.

I took a walking tour of Papeete, come with me down town.

Inside Papeete cathedral, Christ is depicted with a Polynesian twist, he carries a breadfruit, love this!

Now there’s graffiti and graffiti, whilst much is disfiguring and a detriment to the environment, I thought this, on the side of an electrical sub station was eye catching.

Queen Pomare’s IV pond, apparently she only drank coconut milk and water from this pond. The gardens that wind around the assembly buildings are just delightful.

Queen’s pond, I might well use this as a screen saver, reading all those photo manuals is having some effect!

3-400 year old Banyan tree famous for being the eerie of one Paul Gauguin who reputedly climbed it regularly, to sit on a platform in the branches to drink his Absinthe. Just love the eccentricity!
