Dear Family and Friends,

13th February 2015

The look of the islands of Bequia and those further south, is quite similar. Unlike the lush rain and Montane forests of Dominica, Martinique and St Lucia, these islands are much drier. So although the islands are still very green with mangroves in many bays, (mainly the poisonous Manchineel tree), these are drought tolerant, and on the windward eastern side of the islands sculptured by the prevailing easterly winds.

There aren’t many so I thought I would include one of yours truly! Bequia

Such gorgeous flowers!

This is a colour photo, amazing silver palm.

Animal husbandry Bequia style!

Leaving Bequia, although the lighting didnt work, there is a ship wreck among those rocks!

All our best, Lynne and Alan
