What have we been up to

Well, what have we been up to since the 27th October 2017.........  After trips with Jesse James to Asa Wright,

Fort George and Yerret, we had a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Paria, which luckily for us caused not too much damage as the tide washed most of the oil past us and onto the beach where the government sent a clean up squad immediately.  Further around the Bay into Chaguaramus anchorage and boat yard the problem was much worse as the oil moved in and out with the tide.

View from the affected beach.  Trinidad does not have a good reputation for finding and prosecuting the perpetrators of these disasters.

It is soon November and time for my Thanksgiving visit to Florida always a happy time and this year no exception.

Our friend Martin, yacht Nanshe, sadly, but inevitably, succumbed to the effects of excess alcohol and was cremated and his ashes scattered at Macqueripe Beach,

so December continued towards Christmas and our 3day visit to Asa Wright and our departure on the 26 December to the UK for a month long visit.
