Title: St Lucia

A good days sailing from St Vincent with just the genoa sail up, we had good winds then no wind then good wind again all from the North East with a 2 meter Easterly swell which made for high seas until we reached the Pitons on the south coast of St Lucia and the wind died completely.  We hauled up the main and within 10 minute we had 15 to 20 knot winds again so after 10 hours and three tacks we dropped anchor in Rodney Bay.  One thing I forget to mention is that I didn’t close the fore hatch properly and we took a couple of big waves into our cabin soaking bedding and mattresses YEUK!  Managed to get everything rinsed in fresh water and a couple of days in the sun and everything is dry and fresh again!

A zip wire through the treetops of the rainforest was on the agenda for the chaps, Chris and I will do this together when we next visit, I thought it would be too high for me but looking at the pictures and Chris says it was such a good thing that I am looking forward to doing it.
The came the night of the party, Mardis Gras!  Hosted by Tim and Babs on Sunshine II we all gathered for a Cajun music, food and lot of laughs, we even had the special effect of the ‘green flash’ at sunset.
