A week of cleaning

We have now been back a week and Star Charger looks ship shape again.
Most of the effort has been cleaning and sorting. I think we are close to eradicating the cockroaches, but you can never be certain and must always be diligent.
We have listed by locker all spares, stores, tools etc. Boats have loads of little spaces to put things and without a list it is easy to forget where they are. One often hears cruisers saying I have a spare for that but it will be quicker to go to the shop and buy another than try and find it! Also it gives the new crew a fighting chance!
Less good news, all five batteries have been condemned and are being replaced. Surprisingly the house bank being the best....
Also, no prizes for guessing what else needs replacing!
We have had time to relax and enjoy, spending a lovely evening at Mindil Beach market yesterday, a beautiful sunset.
One of the sad things about being away is missing family events, like our grandson Euan’s second birthday today.
