Position at 11:00 UTC 18 February 2016
00:12.99 S 032:2124. W day distance 127 Nm

Winds 0 - 34 knots , from mostly NE

Speed 3-7 knots. COG 320 , This is still the ITC with many more squalls. I might have to sail one more full day to get out of these squalls. Have two reefs in the main and a small piece of genua out to cope for the sudden windgusts in the squalls.

A brazilean plane called me just now, I guess it was coastgaurd. It wanted to know where I was heading and what my position was. In a way it is nice to have contact after so many days at sea , especially after a night with little sleep.

About 13 nm south of the equator, about 4 hours sailing.

Water supply is 90% full, Diesel still about 300 liter available.
