We had a great 12kt reach from Bundaberg to Lady Musgrave Reef accompanied
by Whales, Dolphins and Turtles. What a welcome back. The lagoon was a
beautiful blue with clear water and warm enough for pleasant snorkelling.
We are too early for the Turtles coming ashore but the birds are busy
nesting. The weather forcast was a bit grim so we did an overnighter to
Rosslyn Bay. We have friends in Yeppoon so will spend some time landbased
with them before heading south to Brisbane and then onto Sydney for
Nov/Dec. The plan is to cruise Tasmania then head back north to join the
Sail Indonesia Rally in Darwin in July 2011.
The boat is fine and we are getting back on terms with her. It's amazing
how things that were fine aren't when you get back!
Australia is having the wettest September ever, trust us to be here.
