Finally after five days we left Panama city.
One extra day was only due to slow administration in the customs and immigration.

We took the opportunity to enjoy the last day sniffing on the yearly carneval,
and had a nice tour in the old town –a world heritage with another beautiful view in to the modern skyline.
I especially like the image with the pelican meeting on the little fishing boat in front of Panama city skyline!

So with Spirit full of food, drinks and other things you need for daily life we left the city harbour. We even found the biodegradeble soap, shampoo and so on which will help us to get OK going into the Galapagos.
That will be our next challenge!

So nice to be out at sea with fresh wind and waters! Yes, this is another sea, the Pacific.
Water temperature is lower, around 24 deg C so it is now wonderfylly fresh to have a swim again (compare to the 30 deg in San Blas...).
Also we found the salinity lower which make our watermaker happy with a little less work to do.
Sailing to the islands of Las Perlas ca 40 NM from Panama city we had almost no swell but on the other hand strong currents and a tide which we now have to learn more about.

We will be cruising here
until Friday when we set off for Galapagos.
The work for today will be more cleaning and polishing of the hull –another very important issue for the Galapagos...

-Another hard day off from work!

Happy warm regards!!
