We got up at some unearthly hour again yesterday to come to Falmouth. There wasn't much wind but the sea was still quite rough from the previous windy days. We motorsailed for most of the way. Eventually the wind picked up a bit but was on the nose. Then about 3 miles out it changed and would have been perfect if we'd had any energy left to raise the sails. On the way there were some warships doing live firing practice and had to keep asking yachts to move out of the way. We heard some booms and saw black smoke. There were also some jets flying around.
We are in Port Pendennis marina - last night we were on an outside berth but this morning we moved into an inner basin which is much more sheltered. Rustlers have been to see us and are going to do a few jobs at the beginning of next week.
Last night we had a delicious half chicken and chips at a restaurant nearby.
