We arrived in Brixham yesterday in hot sunshine. The sail was, as usual, a
mix of good, fast sailing and motorsailing into light winds. On the way we
saw some little birds sitting around in the water and then realised they
were puffins! I don't think we've ever seen one before. There were also
some larger birds that we've yet to identify - we forgot our bird book.
The when we arrived in Tor Bay we saw a dolphin! Brixham looks very pretty
from the marina - we were too tired to explore yesterday but will go out
this morning.
The marinas get ever more expensive as we move west - I thought John was
going to faint when he was told the price of this one. I think all the
money has gone into the women's shower block where you get a whole big
bathroom each. We are staying here until Saturday and then the next
installment may be from Dartmouth - we'll see.
