We left Lymington at 7:30 and found that it was a bit windier than expected. However with 2 reefs in the mainsail and the yankee up we sailed like a dream. We had the tide with us the whole way and we absolutely flew along. As we got closer to Brighton the wind dropped a bit so we shook out the reefs, put up the staysail too and carried on really quickly. The sun was out for at least half of the way too. We will stay here a couple of days as there are more gales forecast. We are now off out to find some dinner.
