After yesterday's rain today it was the turn of the wind. We were looking at the wind speed instrument and saw one gust which was over 50 knots - the highest we've ever seen - which was force 10! We went for a walk this afternoon and could see the water in the Solent which was really rough. It was quite tricky to walk into the wind.
If the forecast is right it will die down overnight before picking up again on Saturday. We'll check the forecast again in the morning and if it's ok we will take the opportunity to move on.
