18:21.299N 66:02.189W  Well here we are at the west end of St Thomas in the USVI. As we have done the BVI’s inside out so we thought we’d head west.  Before here we did the checking into America on the island of St John which is an idyllic place with lots of beautiful beaches and not too developed.  St Thomas on the other hand is just like the US with the usual array McD’s and KFC’s etc, etc.  There was a carnival going on in the main town of Charlotte Amalie with the music going on until 3am!  We are so, so glad to be here in this magnificent bay with just the turtles for company. It is our intention to leave early in the morning for Culebra in the Spanish Virgin Islands.  New territory for us us but we have been told that we cant leave this area of the Caribbean without visiting them.  Hopefully they all speak enough English for us to be able to communicate!!  When we get decent wifi we will send pics which wont do justice to the colour of the water.
