16:18.360N 61:47.955W  Arrived in this beautiful bay in Deshais at the north end of Guadeloupe, just ahead of a big storm, but hey we didn't get the soaking expected, just the winds. Again  once here, it was like arriving in a very small town in northern France.  Wonderful boulangerie and lots of lovely bars and restaurants but still quite pricey. The folks here must be on mainland France's wages.  Lots of up to date up-market cars, big shock coming from the southern islands. Have had a wonderful couple of days exploring and visiting the Botanical Gardens.  They were a good 2 kilometre hike upwards into the hills but worth it. They got funding from the EU and this is one place that is value for money as the plants and birds were out of the world.  Got back to the boat to find that the winds had changed and we were facing in completely the opposite direction.  This was hilarious as lots of boats came in and went to set anchors only to be shouted at by other boats that their anchors were behind them!  After several hours the winds turned again and all the boats have started to face the original way and boy are there a lot of boats rather too cosy to others.  We can laugh as we decided, that with our super duper new dinghy and anchor, we could stay well out in the bay.

No bad for !st March display
New dinghy with boat name on it

Are these Harry Belafonte's Yellow Birds.  They just love the dregs!!

Wifi is more important that the fruit juice!!
